Manuka honey benefits for dogs

Manuka honey, the magical natural substance can do all of the below. This is because it naturally contains hydrogen peroxide, a strong antiseptic.Ā

RAW unpasteurised honey is..

šŸ’„ AntibacterialĀ

šŸ’„ AntifungalĀ

šŸ’„ AntiviralĀ

Did you know honey can heal both internally and externally?
Manuka honey is formed from the Bees šŸ in New Zealand and Australia. This is because the Bees pollinate the small white flowers of the manuka tree, or commonly known as the tea tree (leptospirosismum scoparium)Ā
The science part....Ā
The 3 chemical components that give Manuka honey its super healing powers are ;Ā
* Methylglyoxal (MGO): a naturally occurring chemical compound in manuka honey that can vary between manuka honey brands.Ā
* Dhydroxyacetone (DHA): found in the nectar of manuka flowers and converts into MGO during the homey production process.Ā
* Leptosperin: a naturally occurring chemical found in the nectar of manuka plants.Ā
These 3 components give manuka honey its longer lasting antibiotic, antiviral and antifungal properties.Ā
Manuka honey has proven effective as a treatment in....
* E-coli
* Urinary tract infections.Ā
* InfectionsĀ
* salmonellaĀ
* BacterialĀ
* StraphĀ
* FungasĀ
* Kennel cough
* Wound care.Ā
* Gut health.Ā
* Oral care.Ā
* Skin infections.Ā
* Yeast infections.Ā
* Immune support.Ā
* Pad infections, wounds, sores and dryness.Ā
* Dental infections.Ā
As with introducing anything new, take it slow. Only offer a bit at a time if your feeding this to your dog. In the case of wounds and external use clean the area and then apply the honey to the area of interest. If pads/paws the make sure surgical bandage is used to stop the dog locking off the honey.Ā
Make sure you speak to tour vet too pior or whilst using the honey. My vet swears by it but I've had past vets that don't recommend at all.Ā
We have had lots and lots of success with manuka honey over the years, the latest being a customer who was at her wits end with her poor dogs paws, she thought he was loosing his back end and was heartbroken, I knew she was going to see the Yorkshire vet in the next 7 days so I advised only to use natural and use honey on the paw to at least try and ease her dogs discomfort. Nor only did the manuka help but it literally cleared the external infection leaving just the internal infection left for the vet to deal with. This week we got a visit from this gorgeous boy and it truly made our week ā¤ļøĀ
